Our Values

We aim to provide the best possible all-round education and care for the children

School video presentation (Full version)

  • Academic Achievement –  Every child is encouraged to make the best of his/her intellectual and linguistic potential.
  • Culture – We seek to develop in every pupil an appreciation of their Artistic and Cultural heritage.
  • Leisure – We aim to provide the experience of a wide range of activities so that children can discover an interest and a talent outside the classroom.
  • Moral Development – We expect every child to learn to behave in a socially acceptable manner both individually and as a member of a group.
  • Personal Development – Every child is encouraged to be thoughtful, sympathetic and tolerant of others while developing the self-confidence to express and defend ideas and opinions.
  • Spiritual Development – We promote spiritual awareness in a manner appropriate to all children aged 3-6.

Health & Environment

We have looked for the best solutions with the help of technology to reduce pollution and the risk of Covid-19 transmission between the pupils and the staff working in the school

  • Air Purifiers – Prior to lockdown we completed the installation of high performance Hyper HEPA IQ Air Purifiers in all classrooms as well as in common areas such as the gymnasium and canteen. Each classroom has its own wireless monitor that records the pollution level and CO2 level allowing the teacher to manage the air quality through good use of ventilation, enhancing learning and health conditions.
  • Cleaning Programme – In order to maintain the safest environment possible within our school, we have a very effective cleaning programme in place. Aside from constant manual decontamination of all spaces, we have procured a special fogging machine along with Hypochlorous acid which is harmless to humans and is used in hospitals all around the world. Additionally since the school opened in 1977 we empty every room in the school during the summer holidays, disinfect and clean every item, and completely redecorate and refresh all walls, ceilings and floors. The result is that children return to a “new” school every year.
  • Online Learning – During the lockdown periods in 2020 and 2021 we put in place long distance teaching using Google Classroom and Zoom, which allowed us to operate with less populated classrooms, whilst giving the pupils who stayed at home good access to continued education.

Pastoral Care

We believe that we can create a strong culture of care and community spirit

Pastoral care is at the heart of the school‘s ethos. We teach our pupils values of friendship, respect and love:

  • Activities – We regularly present activities such as workshops or dedicated days to raise the awareness of understanding the importance of maintaining a balanced daily life.

We encourage all pupils to express themselves and to share in confidence any worries or concern they may have.

Safeguarding Children

The safety, security and comfort of your children and our team, be it physical or online, is of paramount importance to us all

Our school is housed in friendly buildings that are constantly being renewed and updated to meet today’s educational, safeguarding children and technological requirements.

L’Ecole des Petits fully recognises its responsibilities for child protection, and the great importance of the protection and welfare of children. We believe that this is a shared community responsibility and that failure to provide an effective response can have serious consequences for a child.
